4 Things to Consider When Choosing a Metal Fabrication Company

You have a project needing custom metal fabrication... how do you choose a dedicated cutting shop? The metal fabrication company you choose, can potentially play a large role in whether your project is successful or not. Before you hire any company, here are four factors you should take into consideration:

1. Capabilities
The first thing to consider is whether or not the metal fabrication company has the equipment, materials, skilled staff and production capacity for your type of project. Fabricating processes have different requirements, so you’ll need to ensure the company you choose can handle the type, grade, and gauge of metal required for your project. Likewise, you’ll want to make sure the company you choose can handle the project from start to finish. This can ensure your project is completed on time and on budget.

2. Experience
When it comes to metal fabrication, experience matters. A company with a long history of providing great product and service can give you peace of mind when placing an order. Look for a company with expert designers and fabricators that can help you break down your project in detail from procedures to costs. That way you can select only the services you need. Not only do you want to know how long the company has been in the metal fabrication business, but you also want to know what types of projects they have done in the past.  A reputable metal fabrication company won’t hesitate to provide references from previous customers.

3. Quality
The sales pitch is just the first step in any metal fabrication project. Learn what measures they take to ensure quality and pass inspection on every project. Well formed parts make for easy assembly and stronger builds. Quality is not an area for cutting corners.

4. Customer Service
Your company may need to spend a lot of financial capital on fabricated metal, which makes customer service on the part of a metal fabrication company something to consider. You should be able to count on your orders being processed quickly and delivered on time. Does the company provide a quote, manage material logistics, pack parts for shipping and/or arrange logistics? You want a dedicated cutting shop that make your project a priority. A good metal fabrication company should also backup their product and service so you can get a refund or no-hassle exchange if your company happens to receive a sub-par product.

The Bottom Line
Not all metal fabricators are created equal, so do your research. Strive to hire a company that will save you time and money by maximizing efficiency. Cascade Manufacturing, a division of Naimor Inc, has spent years developing core competencies across the board to deliver a superior product and measurable bottom line value to our customers.

I agree that it’s best to choose a metal fabrication company that has a long track record of providing quality products to make sure that they are experienced enough. My aunt is actually looking for a steel fabrication company because she needs some steel products. She wants to make sure that the steel products that she will get can withstand the test of time because it’s her priority to make cost-effective decisions. I will share this with her. http://mmbco.com/steel-construction-installation/

I like that you suggested choosing a metal production company that’s with a long history to make sure that they are experienced in providing great products. My husband and I want to find a supplier of plate metals that are going to be used for the construction of our house. What we want is to make sure that the materials that are going to be used for our house are durable enough to last for years because we want to save money on repairs and replacements. We’ll consider all your tips. http://www.ashleysalvage.net/flat-and-plate
